Curriculum

Welcome to the Cottesbrooke Infant & Nursery School curriculum section. We are committed to offering a broad, balanced and rich curriculum that meets the needs of all of our children. We have high ambitions for our pupils and our curriculum offering reflects this. From our hands on based Science curriculum through to our Mastery style of teaching Maths, we are resolute in our belief to be a caring, inspiring, nurturing and successful school. 

Reading is the golden thread that weaves throughout all that we do, and we teach our children by faithfully following the Read Write Inc phonics scheme and develop a love of reading by sharing a broad range of quality texts in our daily class story times.  At the heart of this vision is the belief that each and every child can and will succeed in their learning journey.  We work with our parents and the community to ensure that our vision for the children's success is shared and is a collaborative effort. 

The curriculum section is broken into two key parts. Each year group has an area where the curriculum information is provided and then each subject area has their own page so you can see the progression in learning from Nursery through to Year 2.
